Demand Planning Manager
The successful candidates will be required to:
• To collect data, build a scorecard and historical data.
• To work with the Depot Services Manager to ensure prompt distribution of ‘’A category FG’’ ex-Factory and RDC to depots. Overall aim is to improve service level to 100% for all major products.
• To work with planners to develop departmental KPI’S and generate monthly reports. Specifically measure sales forecasts accuracy, understand and measure changes in sales forecasts SKU by SKU and monitor impact on inventory level.
• To develop, deploy and implement plans to ensure the best utilization of assets in the sites as well as supervise and give guidance on the maintenance of such assets.
• To manage the technical teams responsible to deliver Projects, Infrastructure and Services to the site.
• To drive capital budget preparation and management.
• To create and implement plans to continuously improve site infrastructure needs such as energy, water, treatment, steam and all infrastructure services, contracts and contractors.
• To manage the projects, maintenance and overhauling budgets.
• To work collaboratively with Operations managers to improve site and line efficiencies and reduce waste.
• To ensure asset care and improvement through establishing and maintaining an effective system of preventive maintenance applicable to plant and services (TPM based).
• To ensure the provision of site services (water, steam, electricity, gas, etc) to meet the needs of manufacturing.
• To ensure the securing, rationalization and standardization of engineering spares.
• To ensure the implementation of the capital projects portfolio from approval through to project closure, following the TPM principles for Early Equipment Management.
• To ensure the management of engineering contractors.
• To ensure statutory and legal compliance.
• To ensure the implementation of projects on energy efficiency programmes.
• To ensure the implementation and management of Engineering standards.
The right candidates must:
• Possess a B.Sc. in a science related discipline, engineering or any other numerate discipline.
• Possession of MBA will be an added advantage.
• Possess 3-5 years work experience in production process.
• Have detailed knowledge of the production planning and purchasing process, together with the understanding of company’s portfolio of materials
• Have familiarity with stock control techniques and issues
• Have sound knowledge of MRPII techniques and systems
• Have good knowledge of MFG.PRO application.
• Be computer literate (Ms- word, Ms-excel, access)
