Production Manager (Spread & Packing)

The successful candidates will be required:

• To ensure the effective and efficient coordination of production operations to meet and deliver volume targets by due dates meeting specific quality standards as required by marketing plans
• To ensure proper interplay/management and effective planning of labour, materials, machines and time; also effective utilization of shop floor to achieve production requirements
• To initiate and implement ideas to improve productivity and project sunrise activities in the section
• To ensure product batch cards are well developed from the approved BOM and duly filed after the completion of every batch
• To liaise with Logistics department as regards the acceptance of production plan which should be in line with current plant capacity and material availability
• To ensure that sufficient materials are available to meet the weekly production target and reduce level of wastes
• To ensure that manufacturing operation meets stipulated GMP
• To ensure continuous process capacity evaluation and improvement
• To ensure that daily back flush of outputs are carried out by assigned sectional Managers
• To ensure that weekly cycle-count of materials are carried out by assigned sectional Managers
• To manage the factory functions of NPD and Margin Improvement activities within the SBU
• To liaise with Marketing, R&D ad Technical teams to deliver product formulation and packaging based on cost savings
• To work closely with Technical Group to ensure Capital Expenditure activities are delivered appropriately to meet scheduled plans
• To ensure maintenance programmes are carried out promptly and continuous availability of equipment/machinery; ensure Health, Safety and Environment Management.
• To prepare reports (daily productions, forecast and plant compliance) to account for monthly variances and confirmation of monthly production plan.
