Project Unity Ends In Style
Following prior days of drizzle and light rains, the 17th of June dawned with bright skies and the sun shining for the Project unity finale. It was indeed an event worth waiting for. The media hype on the PZ Bubble and the company’s 111 years history generated the required public awareness. Ikorodu town was buzzing in excitement as top dignitaries arrived to grace the occasion. Children lined the streets to welcome guests; the factory was literally gleaming in readiness; visitors could glimpse the huge tower a kilometer away. The Police, Security and Bouncers ensured traffic was smooth outside and within the premises.
Project UNITY which is the umbrella of 4 other smaller projects (ASIS-ASAP, PROGRESS, PHOENIX and OPTIMUM) was witnessed by over 500 guests. The Project was commissioned by the Honorable Minister for Commerce & Industry, Senator Jubril Martins Kuye who represented the President and Commander in Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, traditional Royal fathers, the Obas (Kings) of Lagos and Ikorodu; the Lagos State Commissioner for Commerce & Industry, Senators, Honorable Members of the House of Reps, the PZ global and country executive, Director Generals of federal agencies, PZ Cussons Foundation Board of Trustees, captains of industry etc.
To add more excitement, Sam Sam the event Bubblelogist from the UK, who holds multiple Guinness World records thrilled the audience when he encapsulated the CEO and Frank Edoho the MC in a giant bubble.
