Background:
Queen’s School Ede was founded in 1952 to honour Queen Elizabeth II’s
ascension to the throne after her father’s death. It was and still is an elite
government girl’s secondary school. The ethos of the school is to develop
young girls into very industrious and versatile young women. Girls are
encouraged to participate in sports, literary and debating forums, choir, music
and drama. Students excel academically and the success of the school has
always been due to the dedicated staff, many of whom are former students.
Request:
School’s administrative block is debilitated and a new befitting one is urgently

Justification:
• Proposal is about Education fitting into the Foundation’s mission
• It is SMART – specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and timing
• It is sustainable and will not need post commissioning expenses
• Ibadan is a major distributive centre for PZ Cussons’ products
Recommendation:
Approved by the Board of Trusee for implementation
